Happy Independence Day! Hope it brings you everything we really need—sunshine, smoky BBQs, and a sky full of fireworks. It’s high time to celebrate freedom with your loved ones and just relax in the backyard.
But let us remind you of a small but very important thing: electricity knows no weekends. And when everyone’s having fun, it can play tricks on you. That’s why we at Fuse Service want to remind you that safety is also part of the holiday spirit.
Here’s a quick electrical checklist so nothing will spoil your vacation:
- Fireworks and wires are incompatible
Before launching fireworks, look up. Wires, trees, and streetlights can all cause a short circuit or fire. Use fireworks only in open areas, far away from power lines.
- No games near transformers
The green boxes in your yard are not benches or trampolines. They are transformers with high voltage. Keep children and pets away from them, and definitely don’t try to set off fireworks from them. The worst idea ever. - Don’t climb trees near lines
Even if you think it’s safe, branches can conduct electric current, especially in wet weather. And you shouldn’t set off fireworks from trees either (yes, someone does that!). - Dropped a wire? Stay away
Don’t try to figure it out yourself. Just contact our professionals at (669) 666-9209 or support@fuseservice.com—our team will be on call during this weekend.
Take care of yourselves and your loved ones. Let this Independence Day be extra, but not extreme.
With love and care,
Your Fuse Service team
