What We Installed
This is the kind of equipment our experts thought would be perfect for our customer’s home:
- Daikin R-32 FIT Heat Pump, 2.5 tons, 19 SEER2. Variable speed makes it great for year-round operation.
- Daikin Air Handler, 3 tons, 115V. Compact and heat pump compatible.
- Daikin Thermostat One Touch with convenient climate control. User-friendly touch interface and smart system that is built in.
- Navien NPE-240A2, a flow water heater with a pump and tank. A capacity of 199,000 BTU makes it suitable for homes with high hot water consumption.
How the Installation Went
Preparation
First, we removed the old system and disconnected the gas and electrical connections. Then we checked the drainage and electrical supply. And, of course, we defined the location for the external heat pump unit, taking into account ventilation, noise, and access.
Equipment Installation
We installed the Daikin outdoor unit and laid the freon lines. Next we installed the indoor unit and connected it to the existing ductwork. The final touch was connecting the new thermostat.
Water Heater Installation
Our team mounted the Navien NPE-240A2 on the wall and connected it to the water and gas supply. Then techs configured the pump group and temperature mode. And finally, they made sure that hot water was supplied without delays and surges.
