Make Your Bathroom a No-Cold-Shower Zone with Recirculation Pump
Isn’t It Just the Worst?
Imagine this: one chilly evening you come back home craving only one thing — a hot shower. You get into the bath, turn on the hot water, but… it’s not hot! It is barely warm and you have to wait for ages for it to become acceptable. This is not only annoying (since you are already naked in the shower), but also wastes a lot of water.
This happens because the water travels the distance of the pipes before getting to the faucet. Depending on the size of your house, the distance and time vary quite a bit. When the faucet is on, hot water is drawn to the sink via the plumbing in your house. And when you turn it off, the water stops but does not return to the water heater — it stays in the pipes and gets cold.
But There is a Solution — Recirculation Pump
The best thing to shorten a long wait for the warmth is a recirculation pump. It is installed on your water heater, returning unused hot water back to the water heater. You can choose one of the two types of the pump:
- Full Recirculation Pump System. With this type of the equipment your plumber will install an additional hot water pipe in the house. It creates the loop that helps to bring the hot water back to the water heater. This way there is always a supply of hot water waiting for you!
- Recirculating Pump Comfort System. For this system you won’t have to get new pipes — it uses cold water pipe to send the water back. This is a budget solution with only one minor drawback. Since the water travels through the cold water pipe, your cold facet will initially get you a slightly warm water at first.
Not sure what type of pump will suit you best? Whichever system you prefer, our plumbers can help you install it. If you have any questions about the systems — please don’t hesitate to ask. Drop us an email at support@fuseservice.com or call (669) 666-9185. We’ll tell you everything!
