Ice Machine Manitowoc – Water dump valve issue – Manitowoc Repair San Jose, California

Customer had an issue with ice machine Manitowoc IB0624YC – sometimes it’s getting clogged and needs to be clean every month. After few cleanings and replacing water pump one time I mentioned water dump valve stopped working. But few times when I came it was working.

Literally water dump valve was failing. Once I replaced fuse on control board and after that cleaning work started need to be done very often. Customer called me last time again and said it doesn’t work again. I was ready to replace water dump valve – but in this time it was water pump again – completely clogged with lime – locked and burned. I came back with water pump and replace parts together. After replacing parts I turned on ice machine and water pump started working and water dump valve too. But! Water dump valve was always open and always dump water. I did check the power on wire and I found there always 120VAC and solenoid was hot during 20 min permanently work. I unscrewed control board and try to find  bad relay and luck. I found it. Almost 11 months one relay was making shit with my brain. And now I found it totally burned to other contract which means always on water dump valve and for that reason fuse was burned. Son of a bitch! I replaced one relay on control board and done. Now everything works great.
