What is Harvest?
Harvest is a whole-home heating, cooling, and hot water heat pump system that consistently reduces emissions by about 90% and reduces heating and hot water energy costs by 30% on average.
Harvest integrates an ultra-high efficiency SanCO2 heat pump with thermal energy storage to make a smart thermal battery system. It delivers home heating, cooling, and hot water, directed by the Harvest Pod, which accounts for energy costs, grid emissions, changing weather, and your household comfort. The system is charged (heated) at times when electricity is cheapest and cleanest and delivers heating, cooling, and hot water whenever needed.
It’s one of the most efficient heat pump systems in the world, and qualifies for additional rebates as such. In the US, Harvest receives a 30% battery storage tax credit, which is uncapped, compared to the standard heat pump tax credit, which is 30% capped at $2k.
How does Harvest work?
We can break it down into chunks for you.
1. The Heat Pump
Our hyper-efficient heat pump harvests electricity when it’s cheapest and cleanest. It pulls warmth out of the air, even when it’s cold out.
2. The Tank
A very-insulated water tank holds just the right amount of heat until you need it – as hot water, or as warmth for your home. Temperatures inside the tank are continuously monitored and controlled. Easier said than done.
3. The Pod
The Pod tells everything else in the system what to do, and when to do it. All based on real-time data – temperature, rates, energy use…and if friends are staying over, the Pod adjusts for more showers on the fly.
4. The Air Handler
Hot water safely runs to hydronic coils inside the air handler. A super-efficient fan blows air across the hot coils and, ta-da!, your home is warmed. As are you.
The Air Handler works in homes with forced air. But if you use radiant floors, we’ve got you covered too.

1. Load Shifting
We harvest clean, cheap solar energy around noon and store it as heat in the water tank. People shower and heat their homes in the morning and the evening when the grid is dirtier and more expensive. With Harvest you can use heat and hot water whenever you want, using that clean, cheap energy stored up in your tank.
2. Emission-slashing
Harvest cuts emissions from home heating ninety percent compared to gas furnaces, and forty percent compared to heat pumps without storage. Since home heating and hot water are around 2/3 of home energy use, this is a really big deal. We’ll put it this way: Harvest cuts more emissions than switching from a gas car to an EV.
3. Bill-shrinking
