Tired of hot and cold spots? Swapping your old HVAC for a heat pump is often the simplest fix. Three months ago, our team completed a new Daikin FIT heat pump installation for a homeowner looking for a modern solution for everyday comfort.
If you’re in the Bay Area, check the money side before you buy. PCE financing and SVCE rebates can take a real chunk off the cost of a heat pump installation. What you qualify for depends on your property and each program’s rules, so it’s worth asking before you pick equipment. And we can go through it with you.
How We Performed the Installation
For this project, we installed a new Daikin FIT heat pump system with a matching air handler and thermostat. The equipment brings together variable-speed operation and convenient temperature control in one home comfort setup.
Here’s what we installed:
- Daikin R-32 FIT Heat Pump Variable Speed, 2.5 Ton
- Daikin R-32 FIT 115V Air Handler, 3 Ton, 21″
- Daikin One Touch Thermostat
One unit now heats and cools the house completely thanks to the indoor air handler that sends that air to every room. The system is variable-speed. It means that it runs slower when the house is close to the set temperature and speeds up only when it has to. The Daikin One Touch thermostat gives the homeowner a simple way to manage indoor temperatures.

With the installation complete, the house is set for summer and winter. So, if you’re planning a similar upgrade, you can also ask about possible financing and rebate opportunities before choosing their equipment.
